Europe to UK: Customs Duties and Taxes

Here we have attempted to simplify the requirement associated with transporting your vehicle. We base our pricing on transport of your vehicle by our fully enclosed motorcycle van door to door.

This pricing includes collection, EU export customs clearance, UK import customs clearance, onward delivery to your address and the UK NOVA work to generate the NOVA certificate you will need to register your motorcycle with the DVLA. Below we have the information specific to your situation ...

Important Customs Duties & Taxes (HMRC Charges) information:

Vehicle under 30 years old	VAT	20% of value of vehicle
Vehicle over 30 years old	VAT	5% of value of vehicle

Customs Duties & Taxes (HMRC Charges)

You will also need to pay any import VAT on import of your motorcycle into the UK, however providing your motorcycle is over 30 years old and not classed as a ‘New Means of Transport’, we will work to import at the reduced values of 5% VAT. These are calculated as in the table above.

We have a new system whereby you will receive immediate email notification of both collection and delivery. This will provide you with instant access to the condition reports, condition photos and to see the items collected with your bike.

Please Note;

Providing your motorcycle is being permanently imported into the UK, any import taxes (see below), use of deferment, storages and additional disbursements are excluded and will be charged to you prior to delivery.
We can offer this price based on a shared route with other bookings. Collection and delivery dates will be confirmed when we have scheduled the routing for the respective areas. Please request separate pricing if a dedicated route for your booking is required.
Your vehicle will be covered on our liability for loss or damage during transit.
We will pay the Customs Duties & Taxes (HMRC Charges) on your behalf and include any payment to HMRC in your invoice plus a 3% charge on the monies paid (Min. GBP 50.00)
